PY Nico Robin: OP17 Deck Guide

The Big Mom package fixed Robin. Ramp to ten, land Charlotte Linlin, and attack with a board of 8000s behind a Banish leader. Built from the Flame Flame winning list: which cards the buff really turns on, the turn-4 Linlin curve, and nine matchups.

1. Introduction

Nico Robin has been a leader people keep almost playing. Banish on a 5000 body is one of the best leader abilities ever printed, and for eight sets it sat attached to a deck that couldn't do anything with it. The ramp ability needed [Trigger] cards, and the [Trigger] cards worth running were bad.

OP17 printed a whole Big Mom package of 4000-power bodies that all carry a [Trigger], plus a 10-cost Charlotte Linlin who turns every one of them into an 8000. Suddenly the cards Robin wants to throw away are the same cards she wants to draw, and the deck that fixes her is a deck you'd want to play anyway.

What you get is a ramp deck that hits its payoff on turn 4, attacks with 8000s from a 5000 leader, heals while it races, and strips a life card every time the leader connects. It has one real weakness and I'll be blunt about it in section 3, because nobody else seems to mention it.
