1. The Meta in Short
This issue covers the last four full weeks of OP17 in the West, from August 30 to September 26, 2026. The first two weeks of the format are out of the window now, which matters for a couple of leaders below. Mihawk was banned on September 24, but the ban only kicks in on October 12, so every game here was played with it legal. What the ban changes is in our special issue on it.
- Mihawk is still the deck to beat, right up to the end. One seat in five, a 53% win rate and a quarter of every top cut. It held its ground even in the week the ban was announced.
- RG Luffy & Ace makes S tier. From 2% of the field at the end of August to 11% last week, with the highest win rate of any ranked leader and a 59% week to close the window.
- Robin had its worst week. Still the second most played deck and still S tier over the period, but it won only 41% of its games last week.
- Kaido is quietly winning. Its play rate dropped, but it won 57% in each of the last two weeks and it's favoured against four of the other five big decks.
- Rocks falls to B, and Mihawk is the whole reason. Its strong August is out of the window and Mihawk beats it more than three times in four. Take those games out and Rocks wins 58% of the rest, which is why our ban special still picks it for October 12. On last week alone it's already back in A.
