GY Nico Robin: EB05 Deck Guide (First Look)

First look at the new Green/Yellow Robin from early testing: the 6000 rule behind the double swing, what the heal does and doesn't see, the list I'm testing, a Shanks lethal line and six early matchup reads. Updated as the meta settles.

1. Introduction

Robin finally has a leader that wants to attack. The Purple/Yellow version is a ramp deck that hides behind Banish. The new Green/Yellow one is the opposite: a low curve of 6000s that swing, stand back up, and swing again, while the leader punishes the opponent for every body they remove.

The whole deck is a question you keep asking your opponent. Leave my characters alone and they hit you twice a turn. Kill them and I heal. Most decks are built to do one of those two things well, and this leader makes the other one expensive. It's the first Robin I'd call an aggro deck, and it's a lot more resilient than its 5000 leader suggests.

It also has a short list of hard limits, and I'll be blunt about them, because they decide whether you should pick it up for your next event at all. Some opponents shut the engine off with a single card, and a few of the deck's best cards read better than they play.
