1. Introduction
Blue Buggy has one of the most generous leaders in the game. Rest five DON!!, trash a card, and you play any Cross Guild character from your hand. Any cost. A 10-cost for five, and the ability isn't once per turn, so on ten DON!! you can do it twice.
The deck always had a strong late game. Fill the board with five characters at cost 5 or more and the leader starts dropping a 12000 that bottom-decks your opponent's best character, every turn, for five DON!!. The problem was the turns before that. Getting two real bodies down on five DON!! took a two-card combo, every activation cost you a card from hand, and against anything with removal protection the 10-drop didn't remove much.
EB05 fixes all three with one card. Alvida draws two, puts a second big body into play for free, and when she attacks she switches off one of your opponent's characters for the turn. Blockers, removal protection, the character that forces you to attack it: one swing and it's gone. That turns Buggy from a deck that hopes to reach its late game into one that walks there with a full hand, and then gets around whatever the opponent built to stop it.
I like this deck a lot. It's a ramp deck in blue, it draws more than you'd expect, and it punishes decks that lean on one or two key characters. It also has clear weak spots: it's slow to set up, it hates decks that remove several bodies a turn, and the new Alvida comes with a restriction that will cost you games if you sequence around it wrong. All of that is in here.
